Delay of Game

So I meant to make a post late last week after we went and saw Underworld Evolution. But it kept getting put off and I’ve actually been busy at work so I have really not had time to waste there. Then the weekend came and I totally forgot the senior bowl was on AND the Buckeye’s were playing Iowa (and lost :( ). Sunday I was just lazy and here we are in the waning hours of Monday. I had a lot to talk about, but stuff just kept putting it off.

Going on my first ever business trip this week. It’s just a one night deal down to Lexington, KY but in any case it’s a milestone in my life as a businessman. I’m very anxious how it will go since I’m going with my boss and my boss’s boss. It will be quite the car ride down. I’ll give you a full report upon my return.

Anyway, that’s all I have for now. Above all I really wanted to get some stuff done in the pictures arena of the site this weekend but like I said earlier, nothing happened.

To procrastination!

Comin atcha from the land of future OS’s

That’s right. This post is coming to you via Vista…. umm yea. But anyway, I got my grubby little hands on the December Preview build of the next Windows OS Windows Vista and I must say at a first glance I am impressed.

I haven’t had too much time to dive in deep, but on the surface it’s very…. slick. oh! I am absolutely in love with Windows Media Player 11. Can’t wait!

Well, we can just forget about that

Here in about 2 weeks begins the very low point of the sports season. My favorite sports are Football, Baseball and Soccer in that order and until spring training starts, I’m stuck with baseketball and hockey. The NBA just blows as do the Blue Jackets. I can keep an interest in watching the Buckeye’s play some bball especially when they’re winning, but overall its the worst time of the season for any sports fan. (Ever wonder why SI does the swimsuit issue in February)

So that being said, I am really pumped for baseball season to start. Or at least I should say I was. Being raised in Southern California I grew up as a Dodger fan but moving to southeast Ohio I picked up the Reds as my new team. Recently the Reds came out and announced that they decided to fire their GM. Now. Basically a month before training starts and at a time when there are practically no GMs left to take up a vacant position (at least no GMs worth a damn). So, in my opinion this upcoming baseball season is already down the toilet. Now I know I still have the Dodgers and Fantasy baseball to get hyped up for, but realizing that you’re #1 team is already done for is not something I like to dwell on. The hype and expectation is what gets me through this lull in sports. Lets hope the Buckeye’s keep winning through March.

Mario Kart + Battlefield = Awesome

Check out this video of what happens when you combine Battlefield 2 and Mario Kart, 2 of the greatest games ever. It’s pretty funny and well done. Video courtesy of google.

Update = bored @ work

So a few things to note. I recreated all the links that were lost in the template change as well as added one or two more. First of all you’ll notice a new link titled “My Bloglines“. This will take you to the Rss feeds that I read daily at bloglines.com which basically translates to 85% of my habbitual web-reading. So if you’re curious where I get most of my info, that’s it. Also further on down the sidebar, you’ll notice a section called New I Digg. This is being pulled off digg.com which for those of you that don’t know is the new slashdot and IMO is 10x better. It’ll link to articles I digg from that site. Finally at the very bottom I have included my gamercard that is linked to my xbox live account. Cool stuff. You can stay updated on what games I’m playing and how much I’m rocking at said games.

As far as things that have not been updated or are not working, for one reason or another my archives are acting all screwy as well as my rss feed (really unecessary at this point but cool seeing as I’m a site-feed whore). The feed should reside here or here but as you can see neither is working properly. And lastly I really haven’t done much on the movies and pictures front, but I swear I’ll get something new up soon.

Ch-ch-changes

As you may have noticed, a new template has been established. I thought it was time for a color change. Actually, I have a lot of things I want to do as far as design, but so far I’ve been too lazy to implement any of them. This was one change that was achievable within a matter of minutes. So, here we are.

Next on the list is to add some more content on the main page and also get the movies working. I’ll probably end up adding a dedicated movie section since bandwidth is not an issue for me. The main hurdle is the presentation and compression of said movies.

Does anyone even read the front page or are you all just whores for the pictures?

Trip of the Year!

Well we made it there and back in one piece. It was quite a trip. For now I’ll just put up the pictures, but when I have some free time I’ll try to highlight some of the best stuff.

My dad has a few more pics that I’ll post when I get them as well as pics from CES and Las Vegas.
