At the movies

Site Maintenance

Contrary to popular belief, I have actually been working on getting some new features added to this site. Specifically getting the movies working so that most of the population can view and/or download them. I decided to display all movies on the site in Flash. WMP has too many variables to where it won’t work on 90% of viewers computers and QuickTime can’t give me a small sized file so I decided flash is the best . Turns out its really simple to create/encode and the medium of choice for google.video as well. I’m currently setting up the page as well as deciding how I want to present the videos but I guess I can give you a sneak peak and maybe gather your opinion. I’m trying to figure out if I want the player to be within the video and transparent, or external to the video content. You can see what I’m talking about here. (I have yet to figure out how to encode this into a post but this will do for now)

Any comments/thoughts? (and no whining about my choice of using Flash)

UPDATE: Here is what I’ll probably be shooting for in a final layout link
